Collectible Design Fair, 2024

Brussels

Experimental in its approach, COLLECTIBLE is a one-of-a-kind platform for the showcase and discovery of the best in contemporary collectible design. Seeking to continuously push the boundaries of creativity, the fair brings together established and emerging galleries, design studios, independent makers and brands in a dynamic integrated space, while collaborating with leading curators, design institutions and foundations to deliver groundbreaking commissions and curated projects.

Focused on today’s creation, COLLECTIBLE strives to only showcase high-quality and well-researched objects which reflect the latest currents. In order to keep COLLECTIBLE's concept coherent, works presented are either unique pieces, bespoke commissions or limited editions, pieces are functional or have functionality in mind during the process and all works need to have been produced recently, while premieres are favoured.

Zaventem Ateliers expands in Paris

« Halles Pouchard », the future "Grandes Serres de Pantin"

The artists and designers of Zaventem Ateliers, located a stone's throw from Brussels, are recreating the experience during the Paris Design Week in September.

They will occupy the site of the « Halles Pouchard », the future "Grandes Serres de Pantin". In this industrial wasteland, destined to be rehabilitated in 2023, 12 artists and designers will have the pleasure to invite you to share their energy and discover their creations. For three days, the former steel tube factory will become a reflection of Zaventem Ateliers, a crossroad for exchange and sharing between designers, artists, collectors, architects and aficionados dedicated to Collectible Design.

The project aims to be a place that shows the vision of a creative renaissance in a post-apocalyptic environment, a message of hope in these troubled times, a marker, a landmark towards our humanity. It will also be an opportunity to rediscover the « Halles Pouchard » before they are returned to the citizens of Pantin as an ideal microcity of 11,000 m2, dedicated to culture and exchange where people can live, share, enjoy and so much more...

Milan

For its second participation to the Milan Design Week, Zaventem Ateliers, together with its friends "Galerie Philia", "Everyday Gallery", "Modern Shapes", “Ben Storms”, “Atelier Serruys”, “Mircea Anghel” and “Bela Silva” will highlight the Baranzate district, which has been absent from the fair until now. We will take over a remarkable place of the historical industrial heritage of the city of Milan, the former Necchi factory.

In this industrial wasteland with remarkable architecture, where time seems to have stood, we will introduce the creations and projects of the designers and artists based in Zaventem Ateliers as well as those presented by our friend galleries and our internationally renowned guests.

Arranged around a fireplace, this place open to all will become a crossroad for exchange and sharing between designers, artists, collectors, architects and aficionados who wish to discover the universe and energy of the designers, artists and craftsmen which are paving the way to a new contemporary art of living.
